Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam hotel is one of Amsterdams oldest and finest five-star hotels. This beautiful building dates back to the 17th century and is located on the banks of the Amstel River, in the historic heart of Amsterdam. It wont surprise you that over three centuries, it has hosted royal and legendary guests, from Queen Victoria to the Beatles. Rembrandts Night Watch was painted to display within its walls. Our hotel is monumental and offers a classic contemporary look. The tram and metro stop Rokin is around the corner, as is Rembrandtplein. We work in a small team and know each other well. We have a lot of personal contact with our guests and because of our small size we help each other in all departments to achieve that extraordinary guest experience.

What are you going to do?

As an Intern PR & Communication, you will create relevant and brand-reinforcing content for our various (online) media channels, including social media and various internal newsletters. You evaluate (international) press requests and enable internal and external parties to follow up. In addition, you will collect and manage the publications about Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam. As an intern, you manage the PR database that contains press contacts and keeps the content and image of our brands and hotels up to date. You will also participate in departmental conferences, you get the opportunity to participate in external appointments and participate in Minor Hotels (international) PR projects, such as the (re) opening of hotels and restaurants and various corporate public relations projects.

What are we looking for?

• You are currently enrolled as a student;
• You have a strong affinity with PR & Communication and would like to continue your career in the PR & Communication business;
• In addition, you have an above-average command of English, in both verbal and written communication;
• You are enthusiastic, eager to learn, creative and professional;
• You are flexible in an environment that changes all the time;
• You are a representative and friendly colleague with strong team spirit;
• Furthermore, you have good knowledge and experience in using and/or managing social media;
• Experience with content management and web-based programmes like Mailchimp and Hootsuite is a plus.
