Oversee the installation scope in our global tenders

Working closely with our international customers, we develop, manufacture and install efficient, environmentally friendly and technologically advanced high-voltage cables, for land and offshore applications worldwide.

Manage the installation tendering process

Our installation department continues to grow and a remarkable opportunity has arisen for an experienced Installation Proposal Manager to join our team. In this role you will be a part of our tender team, with responsibility for the cable installation portion of our proposals. You will manage the installation tendering process for all assigned projects, many of which are for major stakeholders on the international market. Your goal will be to aim for optimal outcomes by offering the best execution methodology and commercial solution to our customers

Your primary tasks will be:

• Responsibility for installation aspects in the tender from start of tendering to contract award and handover to the project installation department
• Responsibility to deliver high quality tenders, prioritizing appropriately and meeting both customer demands and directives and the NKT Installation Strategy
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally and act as a single point of contact during the tender phase
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with installation subcontractors
• Responsibility to ensure a competitive installation solution - both technically and commercially
• Preparing the documentation package to the Client
• Preparing an accurate cost estimate and time schedule for the proposal installation solution
• Presenting our installation solutions to customers and conducting the negotiations with the goal to secure agreements in our tenders

You will be located in Rotterdam, NL as part of an international and diverse team located in different parts of the globe, with some additional travel required mainly throughout Europe on an ad-hoc basis (approximately 30 days per year). Communicative and business-oriented collaborator

To appropriately take on this position, you need to be a person who is communicative, collaborative, focused on completing projects and who is committed to collaborating and sharing experiences with colleagues. You thrive when collaborating with other internal departments to optimize the technical and commercial solution to our customers. Equally important is your business-oriented mindset, as well as your ability to handle negotiations with subcontractors and understand contractual information.

Additionally, your CV includes:

• BSc or MSc degree (ideally with an Engineering related discipline)
• Minimum 5 years work experience, preferably within the cable installation industry
• Experience of landfall HDD work and nearshore works would also be of benefit
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Proficiency in MS (MS Project is an advantage)
