Job Description Job Description - We are seeking an experienced Open Source Networking Engineer to join our team in the Financial Services industry. As an Open Source Networking Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining open source networking solutions to meet the organizations needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of the network infrastructure. - Troubleshooting and resolving network issues
- Evaluating new technologies and tools to improve network performance
- Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams
Requirements Requirements: - Broad knowledge of LAN, WAN and DC environments (Professional Level)
- 5 years of experience with Open Source Network Operating Systems (e.g. Cumulus, SONiC)
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols in a highly available environment
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools
- You know your way around with orchestration platforms as Terraform, Ansible, Saltstack, Chef, Puppet, Azure Automation, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, AWS Cloud formation etc.
- Clear understanding of consumer context and needs, as well as the value-add of your service to the consumer
- Insight and implementation of desired structural infrastructure solution
- Technical implications of Security and Risk principles
- You can manage (monitor, evaluate, continuously improve) Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management processes
- Knowledge of DevOps way of working (e.g., continuous delivery, cross-functional team set-ups, development of cross-skilled squad members)
- Creating and improve documentation and work instructions on the delivered infrastructure solution
Benefits What we offer: - 12 months contract with the possibility of extension, aiming for internal employment at ING after 18 months.
- A 36 or 40 hour workweek with flexible hours and a hybrid working model (office and home-based).
- Salary range: €4.240 - €6.782 gross per month (based on 36 hours per week, based on experience).
