What you bring

As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between our software development team and our stakeholders. You will define and maintain a clear product vision, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs. You will be responsible for managing priorities, preventing scope creep, and ensuring efficient product development while promoting user engagement and adoption.

You are a strategic thinker and a strong communicator who can manage stakeholders effectively. You understand the importance of balancing business value, technical feasibility, and user requirements, ensuring products are not just feature-rich but also maintainable, scalable, and well-adopted within the organization.

Furthermore, you:

• Have at least 3 years of experience in a Product Owner or Project Management in a software development environment.
• Have a strong understanding of agile product management (Scrum, Kanban).
• Are skilled in stakeholder management and capable of aligning multiple teams and interests.
• Have experience with requirement gathering, user stories, and backlog management.
• Understand software development processes and can collaborate effectively with development teams.
• Have a good sense of prioritization and the ability to balance business value, user needs, and technical constraints.
• Are a strong communicator who can articulate requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Have experience ensuring user adoption and engagement, including training and promotion strategies.
• Can proactively identify and mitigate risks, especially related to scope creep and resource allocation.
• Are structured and pragmatic, ensuring that product goals and development timelines are realistic and achievable.
• Have experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira, or other agile management tools.
• Have an excellent command of English (Dutch is a plus but not required).
• A background in (civil) engineering combined with relevant product owner experience is an advantage.
