Global Make or Buy Excellence Manager

The Global Make or Buy Excellnec Manager is accountable for the business case validation of all strategic Make or Buy decision for Danone. She/He will develop an Excellence Toolkit providing the best practice to prepare Make or buy decision and provide direct expertise support to the business for the strategic projects. She/He will ensure prepare the validation case for the Danone CPO and COO. The Scope covers all Danone categories and Geographical Zones.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Strategy /Vision

• Drafting a best in class Make or Buy process, taking into account all relevant KPIs for Operations, Procurement, R&I and Topline.
• The new Make or Buy Manager will play an essential role to support Innovation Delivery for the company, while protecting Danone intellectual property
• This role is a global role impacting Danone EDP, SN, and Waters Businesses across all regions.
• Total spend is approx. 1.2B Euro.

Impact on Business Results

• Significant impact on Innovation Delivery, Protection Intellectual property, Balancing between internal operation optimisation and time to market.

Process & Projects

• Develop the best in class Make or buy Process as a company standard
• Ensure Implementation of the the Make or buy process in all Zones and Categories
• Provide Expertise for the Business case development for the key strategic make or buy decision for the company
• Validate all make or buy decision and provide decision fundament to the CPO and COO of the company.
• Work closely wit R&I to ensure intellectual property will be fully protected.

• Strong alignment with R&I on outsourcing rules and gates
• Strong business partnering on the key strategic business cases
• Innovation delivery in line with Business expectation

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:

• Education: Bachelor or Master degree in business, engeneering, finance, procurement

• Experience: + 7 years in procurement, finance or operations with the proven track record of Leading cross-functional projects.

Personal Competencies:

• Agility to operate in matrix organisation
• Synthesis and business acumen for strategic vision and impactful communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Interpersonal skills, conflict management, influencing skills, and cross fucntional collaboration.

• Business partnering skills and the ability to influence decision-makers are crutial.

Technical Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills, deep understanding of business strategy, vision, and financial implications.
• Deep understanding of business strategy, vision, and financial implications.
• Familiarity with key KPIs related to Operations, Procurement, Research & Innovation (R&I), and Topline is essential.
• Make of buy process expertise: you should be able to create a best-in-class process that considers efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and risk management.
• Knowledge of outsourcing rules and industry best practices, strong operations understanding.
• Be comfortable analysing business cases, assessing cost structures, and evaluating ROI.
• Equally comfortable with strategy building and zooming into details.
