As a Chief Officer you take the responsibility for the daily Nautical, Deck and Cargo related operations on board. Additionally, you are responsible for keeping the vessels Deck, Hull and Cargo Holds in good condition. You do so in close cooperation with the Captain on board and Engine Room Department. You are a key factor in the guidance of Junior Nautical Officers and Apprentices and contribute to their professional development on board.

As we expect you to take ownership of your responsibilities, several Wagenborg office departments aim to facilitate you in such a way that you are able to guarantee safe operations and a well-maintained vessel.

We assist you in developing your leadership skills and enable you to continuously gain experience with a variety of vessels, cargoes and sailing areas. We strive to facilitate you personally in such a way that you can steadily grow towards The Masters position in our company.


Responsibilitie


  • Optimizes commercial results by taking care of cargo holds and cargo handling
  • Keeps the Vessel in optimal condition
  • Ensures Optimal Crew Performance (Team Building)
  • Ensures Safe Operations on Board
