Our tribe Global Customer Data Management (GCDM) contributes to the ING strategy by delivering customer data services which can be directly integrated into the mobile, web and assisted channels of our consuming entities: ING Retail banks, Business banks and Wholesale bank.
We are looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join our feature squad responsible for delivering customer data services by building global reusable frontend components.
A User Experience (UX) Designer has end-to-end responsibility for UX analysis and UX design for (digital) processes, interfaces, and customer communications from a customer/user perspective, while also helping improve (digital) processes. The purpose of these UX activities is to increase customer satisfaction, user-friendliness and accessibility of ING’s (digital) services in order to create an optimum, authentic and consistent omnichannel user experience. A User Experience (UX) Designer works based on quantitative and qualitative data and draws on validated customer insights.
The Team
You will join the frontend squad of the GCDM tribe. Together with your CJE/UX and developers you will work on creating new components each day for our product area.
You will also be part of the Touchpoint Design Center of Expertise. A dynamic group responsible for creating and enhancing the user experience of INGs global technology platform.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work alongside various stakeholders, including product managers, software engineers and other UX professionals, to align design strategies with business goals and technical capabilities.
- Conduct extensive user research and testing to gather insights and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Design and improve the user interface of the developer portal, focusing on usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
- Establish and maintain design standards and guidelines, ensuring a consistent and coherent experience.
- Utilise your engineering expertise to understand technical constraints and possibilities, facilitating effective communication between design and development teams.
How to Succeed
- 5+ years in UX role, bachelor’s degree in the study of user experience, design, research or related fields or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrate a hybrid skillset in UX/UI design, coupled with a technical background essential for a high-level understanding of how various solutions are interconnected and the implications for the developer experience.
- Expertise in the UX design process, including workshop facilitation and collaboration techniques.
- Proficiency in using design tools such as Figma.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, even in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills.
- Comfort working in international and cross-functional teams.
