Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective safety and environmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local regulations and global standards.
• Preparation / EHS Plan
• Prepare the Project EHS Plan and individual site procedures prior to mobilization and develop updates when needed.
• Ensure the site has identified all applicable legislation or standards, and ensure he/she understands the requirements, to achieve compliance.
• Liaise with Subcontractors, insurance representatives, local medical services, local fire and police departments, local regulatory agencies, and Customer/Client on EHS related matters.
• Emergency Response Plan
• Prepare and regularly review the site(s) ERP
• Ensure presence of all required materials and equipment, and that the persons required to use it are trained.
• Develop and deliver EHS induction plan for all construction personnel and visitors reporting to the project site.
• Drive “Toolbox” safety talks, Safety Meetings
• Ensure Sub Contractors hold regular EHS meetings and “Toolbox” safety talks.
• STOP WORK for any unsafe acts or conditions.

Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma qualified in Environment, Health & Safety (or equivalent)
• Locally or internationally recognized professional EHS qualification. such as HVK / MoSHE / FaSi. Or NEBOSH
• Strong experience as EHS in Onshore Projects. Offshore experience would be a plus
• Fluent English, advanced Dutch and/or German will be plus
