The IoT Security and AI Solutions Architect will develop innovative state of the art AI/ML solutions in the field of IoT Trustworthy Execution, Anti-Malware, Cyber Intel, Cryptography, Identity, Privacy and Safety.

IoT Security & AI Research (10%)

In collaboration with the Director of the IoT Security Centre of Excellence you will:

• Identify and execute advanced research opportunities focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the field of IoT Security Data Science and Cyber Intel.

• Drive research efforts that lead to publications and conferences:
  

IoT Security & AI Consulting (80%)

• Support client engagements focused on IoT Security & AI solution design and development.

• Prototyping new AI/ML functionalities and technologies and integrating them in complex Cyber Security architectures.

• Support clients through external IoT security and identity certification programs.

• Assist with and provide recommendations on developing IoT Cyber Security Strategies, conducting reviews of existing technologies and IoT cyber security implementation, reviewing applicable guidance/requirements.

• Develop IoT & AI Security Building Blocks / Solution Architecture Templates (SAT), reports, briefings white papers and other artefacts as required.

• Facilitate system and software vulnerability scanning and remediation and report work stream status and risks.

• Actively participate in the development of partner and vendor relationships (Contracting Templates).

• Participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process.

• Display leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions.

Reputation Building (10%)

• This position will advance our reputation through speaking engagements and publishing whitepapers and blog posts on IoT Security & AI Research and Innovation.

Knowledge of / Familiarity with:

• Strong understanding of the mathematical foundations of Machine Learning algorithms and Cognitive Computing.

• Deep Learning Models: Convolutional, Recurrent Networks, regularization and optimization for training deep models.

• Deep Learning Research: Neural Language Models, esp. for the contexts of text disambiguation and categorization.

• Lawful Interception / Situational Awareness.

• IoT Security Certification (UL, BSI, ICSA Labs) and Security Standards (ETSI, NIST, IEEE, ISO/IEC, CEN-CELEC).

• IoT Architecture / Modelling Tools (EIRA, Archimate, HyperCat ,TOGAF).

• BlockChain (Sovrin, Open Reputation) and Biometrics (eMRTD, FIDO).

• Identity Services (eIDAS, FICAM, OIF, UMA, ContextBased Authentication / Attribute Exchange).

• AIOTI (IoT Security Landscape, Reference Architecture, Certification).

• GSMA (Mobile Connect and IoT Security Self-Assessment, UICC/Embedded SIM).

• Digital Ethics / Security by Design / Privacy by Design.

• Quantum Safe Cryptography.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret (A-level) security clearance for this role.

• Master of Science or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics or a related field.

• Strong programming skills (Dev/Ops, Agile, UX), proficient in C/C++, Python, and machine learning frameworks.

• Experience in software optimization on CPU/GPU and parallel computing experience (OpenCL/CUDA).

• 3+ years of relevant experience working for Law Enforcements and Intelligence organizations.

• Proven expertise with: Cyber Security Management, Cyber Risk Assessments, Cyber Security Planning.

• 3+ years of experience in device security assessment and finding vulnerabilities and security gaps in IoT devices, Platforms or Ecosystems.

• Security-related publications in a peer-reviewed conference proceedings or journal.

• Pre-sales, proposal and RFP experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to present to customers at various levels within the organization.

• Team player, with experience in working within a multi-site and multi-cultural environment a plus.

• Fluent in English - other languages an asset (Dutch, German, French).
