The IT area of Core Bank NL is responsible for creating, maintaining and improving our reliable Account Management System (AMS) of the bank, used for current-accounts, savings, and loans accounts. We call it the beating heart of the bank: it processes millions of transactions a day on our current-accounts, savings and loans accounts. High availability and performance is therefore crucial for us. An important goal is realizing a real-time bank which is 24/7 available for all our customers.

We are looking for an energetic & passionate “BA/Test analist - Corebank” with a strong IT background with expertise in managing back-end systems and connections to consuming IT parties. All with the objective to make sure we keep our AMS compliant, reliable and running smoothly. In the coming years, Profile being the target AMS has a challenging roadmap ahead for its platform, including epics such as improve scalability, reliability, security standards & align on standardized approaches/practices with other ING countries running Profile. You bring in your expertise and vision and help influence the decisions made by the IT area lead about platform & technology choices.

In our IT area, which includes the third Party system Profile, our AMS, we are responsible for processing millions of transactions a day on our customers current accounts, savings, and loans. With over 8 million customers, we hold the records for their balances and transaction history and we do interest calculation a.o..It goes without saying that high availability, performance and keeping our data safe are crucial for us.

Your role

Within Core Bank NL you will work in one of our DevOps squads, being responsible for implementing new features to the Profile application. Although we are looking for a DevOps engineer, your focus will be on Business Analysis (BA) and Automated Testing. You will translate the business or technical requirements in a design for Profile and when the development is done you run your automated test scenarios.

You are able to clearly communicate the desired design to the developers, so they can start coding. And when they finish, it needs to be tested! We do have a robotframework(.org) automated test framework which is written in Robotframework and Python. And since you will be working in a DevOps squad, you will also be involved in fixing incidents.

Who are we looking for?

We look for an experienced Business Analyst who has a some years of experience in (automated) testing.

You have worked as a Business Analyst in Banking and you have good knowledge on either Current accounts, Savings and Loans products and Payments processing experience.

You have worked in large organizations and in a complex architectural application landscape. You understand what changes are needed and have the skills to analyze it and create a new solution.

Moreover, we look for an engineer with modern day engineering skills and competences like an eye for innovation, creativity, attention to details and communication.

Your education, experience and background:

• Bachelor / Master degree
• You have a pro-active and hands-on attitude; you speak up about your ideas
• You have worked for at least 2 years as a BA
• You have Banking experience in the domain of Payments: Current Accounts, Savings and Loans.
• You have experience with working in a complex and challenging IT environment
• You have experience in an Agile/Scrum/Dev/Ops team
• You are experienced in (Test) Automation
• Good knowledge of Python and Azure
• Good skills in writing system and integration tests
• Excellent level of English.

Nice to have:

• Experience and thorough understanding of continuous delivery, deployment tools, and pipelines. We work with Git, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Ansible, Checkmarx, Azure Artifacts
• Experience with Robot Framework
• Great analytical skills and conceptual/architectural understanding, ability to quickly understand new technical concepts that are outside of your comfort zone
• The ability to transfer knowledge back to the ING Bank by holding presentations, workshops, documentation, and most important: setting new standards for the ways we do tech
• To handle application risk controls efficiently, proactively contributing to preventing security and operational risks.

• Experienced/comfortable in working with an Onsite/Offshore model

• You are always curious and looking for improvements and innovations within your area of expertise.
