Field service technician

As a Service Technician you will work with emergency power systems that are used for various purposes. Think of hospitals, data centers or prisons. Without an emergency power supply, the consequences would be incalculable when the power goes out. An emergency power system, or more precisely Un-interruptible Power Supply (UPS), is a device that can take over the power supply of computers and other equipment for a short time in the event of a power failure. A UPS system cannot function without a reliable battery system.

You work independently as well as in a team and visit the most special locations. As a Service Technician, your duties include:

Your activities consist of:

• mounting and installing battery systems;
• carrying out measurements and analyses;
• providing technical advice;
• ensuring the commissioning of systems;
• carrying out maintenance, repairs and battery replacement.

This company started about 30 years ago and has grown into a full-service supplier focused on battery systems, batteries, chargers and (mobile) energy systems. There is a good and collegial atmosphere. Colleagues are willing to help each other and are able to come up with a good, quick solution for a customer. There is also always a Friday afternoon drink, they go on a skiing holiday together every year, there are several outings a year and they like to celebrate successes together. The ideal Service Technician for this position is someone with:

• a number of years of work experience in the electrical field;
• experience in reading e-drawings;
• an accurate and service-oriented attitude;
• willingness to continue to develop yourself through following training or courses.
