Always wanted to run your own coffee & lunch bar while youre having the support of an amazing restaurant team? At Capital Kitchen we are looking for a responsible and independent leader to run our Capital Kitchen terrace bar.

PART TIME BUSY / FULL TIME

About the role As a Supervisor of our terrace bar / take-away outlet, you will probably be the best friend of our guests and community. You are responsible for operations and are able to manage a colleague at peak hours. You will make the best drinks and sandwich for every guest at our take-away. Were looking for a hands-on leader that is ready to take care of your own outlet.

Your day

• 7:30 come in and start your shift with a freshly brewed coffee
• 7:45 turn on the lights and set up the terrace on our Peel Plaza square
• 8:00 open up and start serving our community and visitors all the coffee they need to start their day
• 9:30 check your mise en place and prepare for lunch. Start making some sandwiches for pre-orders
• 11:00 time to relax! Go for a lunch break yourself
• 11:30 get ready!!! lunch peak is coming. Imagine a line of hungry people in front of your window
• 14:00 check in with your manager. Is there anything you need? Do you have some fresh ideas? Or time to do some admin.
• 15:00 close the terrace. Get in all the products you need for tomorrow and ask the chef to prepare ingredients you need.
• 16:00 you look around if everything is ready for tomorrow. Lights out and time to go. This was another fun day at work.

Do you like to

• Run your own coffee & lunch bar, while having the support of an amazing Restaurant team
• Take care of the mise & place (check stock, menu and cups/glassware)
• Develop (take-away) menu together with the restaurant manager
• Clear and clean the work areas and equipment during and at the end of your shift
• Clear and keep the takeaway and surroundings in a presentable condition
• Provide knowledge about the drinks and general information about the building to guests
• Pass on and/or prepare orders yourself
• Take orders, provide information about the menu (food and drinks)
• Actively promote Capital Kitchen & Capital C
• Have a chat with our community members because of interest in who they are and what they’re doing.
• & be off on Saturday & Sunday!

About you

• Barista experience (required - but most of all, you must be very eager to learn and willing to offer five-star hospitality service and experience)
• You are social and curious, youre not keen on the standard talk and like to know more about the guests
• You are hospitable and service-oriented
• You like to work independently, while being part of a bigger team, and you love to shake things up a bit
