Schattig Cafe is looking for parttime and fulltime experienced Baristas to join our team!

As a Barista, you will be the heart and soul of our coffee shop. You will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Your role includes:

• Preparing and serving specialty (!) coffee and tea beverages: Brew and serve a variety of coffee and tea drinks to perfection, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Customer interaction: Engage with customers, take orders, and offer recommendations based on their preferences.
• Maintaining cleanliness: Keep the coffee bar and seating area clean and organized.
• Operating equipment: Use espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Stocking supplies: Monitor inventory levels, restock items as needed, and notify management of low stock.
• Cash handling: Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain the cash register.
• Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience as a specialty coffee barista is a must.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and a friendly, positive attitude.
• Passion: A genuine love for coffee and a desire to learn more about the craft.
• Physical stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 lbs).
