COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Netherland) B.V. is a container shipping company with increasing capacity and belongs to the world top 3 global carriers. Through dozens of trade lanes, over 100 of ports worldwide are connected. Several weekly services from Rotterdam to e.g. Far East and the U.S.A. are handled at our local office. We arrange COSCO SHIPPING Lines sales and marketing activities and arrange full service concerning all (container) vessels to the Netherlands.

For our Sales & Marketing Dept., we are looking for a fulltime (2,0 FTE)

Senior Sales Representative

As Senior Sales Representative you are responsible of meeting existing and prospective customers. Set up appointments, promote the products we offer, and convert leads into sales. Senior Sales Representative are regularly away from the office, meeting existing and potential customers face-to-face to qualify leads, discover pain points, offer a solution, and push for sales.
As Senior Sales Representative you will have a yearly/monthly target.
You have an inside Sales Support team who will need your attention and cooperation to cover most administrative tasks, system processes and follow ups with customers.

Activities / Goals:

• Have regularly meetings with (potential) customers.
• (Assist) in contract negotiations between Principal and the local Pricing team.
• Reach the Sales and KPI Targets set by HQ.
• Find and follow-up Sales leads.
• Analyse and insert sales data.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Creating and sending out offerings.
• Create contracts.
• Reports frequently to Manager and Principal.
• Administrative tasks.

Experience, education and competencies:

• HBO degree or comparable with experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in similar position.
• Fluent Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Cargodoor 1 and 2 diploma.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Excel and PowerPoint.
• Integrity (being able to work with confidential and sensitive information).
• Fluent in both Dutch and English.
• Very good social and communication skills.
• Accurate Service- and commercial minded.
• Being able to work independently.
• Representative personality with a friendly, positive nature.
