We are looking for a talented Commissioning Technician to join our team in Dordrecht. The role reports to the Senior Project Manager.

Your tasks

• Plan, execute and supervise the commissioning to the final handover/acceptance of equipment.

• Prepares, plans, coordinates, performs, and reports on commissioning activities and tests at suppliers or customer sites on Power Generation equipment supplied by Cummins in a low and medium voltage range.

• Comprehensive knowledge applied to performing skilled activities which support Distribution/PowerGen Projects business needs.

• Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools and specialty equipment.

• Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

• Acts as a formal resource leading and coordinating others. Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment.

• Supervises equipment manufacturing and installation activities and leads subcontracted commissioning activities on Cummins scope of supply.

• Conducts minor mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment as required during installation and commissioning phase.

• Develop and support Cx scipts and quality controls.

• Willingness to travel national and international across Europe as required. Travelling will take almost 100% of time.

Your profile

• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution .

• Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)

Current relevant electrical certification (especially High Voltage / Low Voltage experience)

• Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products

• Hands on, practical engineering experience -including the ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical specification documents

• Significant field service work experience

• Customer service experience is a must.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Great problem solving and analytical skills, with high attention to details.

• Locally valid driving permit. We offer a “company car as a tool” benefit for the role.
