Moral Ambition Fellowships
We trust in the ability of small, passionate teams to drive substantial global change. In our programs, we bring together such groups of talented individuals to tackle the most urgent problems of our time.

For the first fellowships, we have chosen to focus on these two topics: tackling the tobacco industry and accelerating the protein transition.We are looking for 12 applicants (fellows) per program.

What the program looks like:

  • One month of intensive training on tobacco control/sustainable proteins, learning from experts and connecting with peers.
  • Six months of working in the field (at a host organisation), focusing on report writing, policy, legal advice, and networking.
  • Monthly meetings with fellow participants to share insights and reflection, enhancing your learning

What will you be doing at the host organization?

  • Help to build the host organizations (*HO*) strategy
  • Writing the HOs position and creating internal support to publish
  • Writing key reports on the different dimensions of your cause area, to sway the public debate
  • Creating new coalitions to further your cause
  • Getting your HO’s plans on social media, newspapers and on TV
  • Convincing policy makers in one-on-one settings
  • Coming up with the plan to make crucial reports known to key policy makers and the public.

Who we are looking for:

  • People who have around 10 years of work experience, although having at least 3 years is a requirement.
  • The ability to commit full time, or at least 32 hours per week.
  • Eligibility to work in the European Union.
  • Preparedness to quit your job and transition to a new, impactful career path.
  • Educational requirement: Bachelors degree (minimum); Masters degree (preferred).
  • Willingness to live on a career transition grant of EUR 3.6k gross per month.
  • Willingness to relocate to Brussels, at least for the fellowship duration (with exceptions for outstanding candidates). A limited number of host organizations could require temporary relocation to a major city, like Berlin or Geneva. There are a limited number of remote spots for the Tobacco Control Fellowship.
  • We are especially interested in individuals with experience in: legal roles, strategy and management consulting, applied research, lobbying, marketing and communications, tax, data analysis, fundraising, policy making, food technology and sustainable protein, agriculture, prevention in alcohol/drugs/tobacco and investigative journalism.
