Cultivation foreman for flower farm at Blomsterboda in Sweden

RELOCATION TO STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

Blomsterboda Odling & Produktion AB is located in Vallentuna north of Stockholm, Sweden. In our greenhouse with modern water purification technology, we produce over 10 million tulips every season, as well as 100,000 amaryllis and 1 million hyacinths. In our bouquet production we also produce over 2 million bouquets and bunches per year.

We are now looking for a cultivation foreman who loves to work operationally in greenhouses, lead teams and is technically savvy. Are you the one we are looking for?

THE ROLE?

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in cultivation and is a good supervisor. We would like you to be horticulturally trained or have experience working in commercial cultivation, but this is not a requirement.

You need to be handy as repairs to our production machinery are part of the job. You will follow up on the daily production plans of the production lines and workstations. You plan and evaluate the growing seasons.

You are responsible for planning, planting, and harvesting our products.

The nature of the work varies according to the season and time of year.

OVERALL TASKS?

• Hands-on work in the greenhouse in everything from cultivation and irrigation to repairs
• Daily planning and deployment of the team
• Together with other managers and team leads, develop and train staff
• Responsibility for staff

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You should be handy, have good technical knowledge and enjoy problem solving
• We are looking for people who preferably have experience of commercial cultivation, with experience of running greenhouses being an advantage. Training as a horticulturist, agronomist, horticulturist, or equivalent is also an advantage.
• As many of the staff are English-speaking, you should have very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. We have many Polish speakers on staff, so if you can also speak Polish, thats a big plus. You have good computer skills.
• You should be an inspiring leader with good team building skills. You enjoy working both independently and in teams. Personnel responsibilities that include performance reviews, salary reviews, certifying timesheets and salaries, rehabilitation etc. Drive and develop the company culture and Blomsterboda STAD in the function.

Relocation: Blomsterboda is providing international relocation support if needed for 6 month.
