Product Manager - Ranking

We are hiring for Product Manager in the Central Machine Learning (CML) department to join Ranking Infra and Platform team.

About the Team

Machine Learning, and AI in general, are integral to booking.coms goal. CML powers many of bookings flagship ML capabilities.

The Ranking team composed of passionate engineers and data scientists committed to revolutionizing how travelers discover and book accommodations, flights, attractions, cars, etc.

The mission of our team is to refine and improve Booking.coms ranking algorithms continuously and to create a highly personalized travel experience for each of our customers, all while accommodating the outstanding business constraints that make Booking.com the industry leader it is today.

Wat youll be doing:

As a Product Manager in the Ranking team, you will drive groundbreaking innovation. You will lead the strategy, long-term vision, and success definition for our capabilities in the Ranking platform Product.

This team is composed of senior engineers, machine learning experts, and data engineers who have deep understanding of recommendations and ranking technologies and implications across B.com.

Your primary role is enhancing the platform product, understanding the goals and challenges in the serving, data, and ML platforms, and providing crucial capabilities by prioritizing impactful deliverables for all use cases. Your role also includes collaboration with key stakeholders and product managers from Machine learning platform, Search experience and Travel-related products such as flights and attractions.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Own and lead the ranking platform product vision and execution end to end.
• Build and adapt the product strategy to the constantly evolving needs and constraints imposed by the business.
• Deeply understand the direction of the business and the problems customers and platform users face; extract and identify requirements from other business initiatives, customer requirements and prioritize them ruthlessly.
• Work closely with engineering, other product and program teams to define and ship products that solve problems.
• Constantly engage with stakeholders to expand the coverage of the platform and create impact.
• Define the KPIs for the product, and be the ultimate person responsible for its success

Role Qualifications and Requirements:

• Strong product insight (balancing customer & business needs)
• Previous experience working with Machine Learning Teams;
• Consistent record of stakeholder management and complex roadmap development
• Strong technical background and experience with managing platform products including defining platform KPI’s
• Strong strategic problem solver with the ability to zoom in as well as see a 10,000 ft view.
• Customer focused and passionate about solving user problems.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies;
• Experience with making data-driven decisions;
• Very good communication and ability to balance priorities in time critical situations.
