Do you see yourself providing guidance to the organization on complex problems, but you are not sure yet at what risk topic you can excel? You don’t have to choose! The Central Risk Management Talent Programme allows you to gain a broad view of ABN AMRO’s risk management activities and develop yourself as an enterprise risk professional.

Central Risk Management is at the heart of ABN AMRO’s Risk Management and responsible for a broad spectrum of topics that have a direct link with the bank’s (risk) strategy and banking regulation. Examples include stress testing, enterprise risk, sustainability risk, capital advisory, risk appetite and policies. With our expertise, integrated view and pro-activeness, we guide colleagues and senior management to choices they need to make. We strive to make the bank more robust, support its core values and ensure a moderate risk profile with healthy financial results.

We are looking for new colleagues that want to join ABN AMRO’s Central Risk Management Talent Programme. The programme offers a comprehensive view on the bank’s risk management through a number of rotations within Central Risk Management, in addition to on- and off-the-job training. We believe in growth through responsibility and encourage you to contribute from the start. The Talent Programme will allow you to develop both technical and soft skills, ranging from detailed risk knowledge to communication skills, critical thinking and stakeholder management.

Je werk

The duration of the Talent Programme is one year, during which you will contribute to different teams and projects. The programme comprises of 3 to 4 rotations within various domains (teams) within Central Risk Management (e.g. stress testing, sustainability risk, etc.), which will give you an in-depth understanding of risk management within ABN AMRO. The domains facilitate senior management in defining and implementing appropriate responses to the material risks the bank faces. As a full member of the team, you will get responsibilities and relevant tasks from the start, add value based on your strengths and development areas, supported by various on- and of-the-job trainings. The programme offers ample (career) opportunities to develop and broaden your knowledge of banking and risk management.

Central Risk Management offers you a dynamic, international and informal working environment. A unique selling point is the diversity of teams, topics and responsibilities that you will come across. You will become part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Network, consisting of ca. 75 professionals with various backgrounds and nationalities, which share knowledge and capacity within the network.

We work in a hybrid manner. This means that you can work when and where you want in the Netherlands, in consultation with your team and depending on your role. Work from abroad is also supported under specific conditions related to security and taxation.

Je profiel

We’d love to hear from you if you meet the following criteria:

  • Master’s degree (preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative related field
  • 0-2 years of work experience
  • Affinity with Banking and Economics, Risk and/or Finance and Sustainability related topics
  • You are entrepreneurial, proactive, thorough and you have a practical mindset
  • You have good communication skills
  • You are flexible and able to work with deadlines
