We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Head Waiter in the excellent Cafe Americain of the Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American
Set in the vibrant, capital city of the Netherlands, Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, now part of Dalata Hotel Group is a 4-star, 173-bedroom hotel with an extensive food and beverage offering including the Cafe Americain. It is located on the Leidseplein, in one of the most famous art nouveau buildings in Amsterdam
Objective of the Role
Reporting to the Maitre d the Head Waiter will provide a friendly and efficient service to the guests of Cafe Americain.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly using their name.
- Ensure a good working knowledge of food and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
- Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
- Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
Requirements:
- Previous restaurant experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment.
- Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
- Micros/Symfony Experience would be preferable.
