To extend our multidisciplinary team we are now hiring a HR Working Student (in case you wonder, no ... its not an internship, but a real job with responsibilities and a fair salary). Working at Hunt & Hackett is not yet another side job. We give you actual responsibilities and the freedom to help and built our organization from an HR perspective and to learn while doing. The activities range from working on operational topics, to tactical and strategic topics related to our core values, talent management etc. The more operational topics you will be working on are among others, recruitment support, employee onboarding, keeping track of HR administration, planning events, internal communication, writing employee handbooks and a bit of policies on the side.

Our future working student is a person who is creative, pragmatic, likes to think out of the box, is well aware of the standards and regulations, and likes to do (and/or support) a wide range of HR/ recruitment related activities. That being said: we are not looking for an HR officer trapped in the body of a legal officer, who is primarily interested in writing polices. We are a scale-up and not a corporate. Therefore, we need support in a wide variety of topics. Furthermore, what we do should fit the needs of our employees, or Hunt & Hackett as an organization. Meaning that whatever thing we do in the area of HR, is not done because ‘this is how we role in HR’, or ‘every organization should have this’ but because it’s of added value and actually actively being used by either one of them.

• Enrollment in a relevant field of study: Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Creativity and Innovation: HR in a scale-up often requires thinking outside the box to develop things that don’t exist and help building stuff from scratch fitting our needs.
• Team Player Mentality: HR is often a collaborative effort, so the ability to work effectively in a team, communicate ideas, and contribute to group objectives is highly valued
• Proactive attitude: Taking initiative and being proactive in identifying and addressing HR needs within the organization is a prerequisite. We are a scale-up, not a corp.
• Strong communication skills: you should be able to effectively communicate with coworkers, candidates, and employees is essential in HR roles.
• Organizational skills: HR tasks often involve juggling multiple responsibilities simultaneously, so strong organizational skills are crucial.
• Attention to detail: Accuracy is paramount in tasks such as maintaining employee records and preparing HR-related documents. Everyone ultimately want to have the right amount of salary in their bank account by the end of the month.
• Interpersonal skills: Building positive relationships with coworkers and employees and being approachable and empathetic are essential.
• Legal knowledge: While not always required, a basic understanding of employment laws and regulations can be beneficial in ensuring compliance in HR practices.
