DHL of Curacao N.V. is opening a job posting for the position of courier, effective July 1st. We are looking for a highly motivated team player for our Operations team.
  • Do you have a passion to make customers happy.
  • Are you a courier who can follow standard company procedures and safety requirements.
  • Pick up/deliver time sensitive shipments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain good work ethics.
  • Do the words right the first time, can do, speed and passion fit you?
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Transport shipments to and from various locations and vendors ensuring proper care of items during transport.
  • Confirm deliveries and collections with Dispatch by DHL scanner.
  • Work according to our GSOP rules and DHL manual based on DHL’s CUR rules and regulations.
  • Plan appropriate routing in order to maximize delivery of services (pick-ups and deliveries).
  • Keep accurate records, maintaining logs of fuel consumption and other data as required.
  • Occasionally handle transactions or payments for pick-ups and/or arranges for settlement of accounts.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and required.
  • This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Associate degree.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of traffic regulations, alternative routes and traffic patterns.
  • Fit to climb in/out vehicle, walk up/down the stairs as required for pick-up or delivery.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of computerized systems.
  • Proficiency in English, Papiamentu, Dutch.
  • Generally, 1-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
