Service Product Specialist 40 hours per week, Venlo (NL)
What You’ll Do In this challenging position you can widen your view, drive processes, service concepts and commercial relations. As a Service Product Specialist within Canon Production Printing you play a crucial role in the development and delivery of high quality, high-end products.
You resolve issues and coordinate problem solving with all parties involved and you actively pursue field feedback to prevent and solve (quality) issues when they arise. You are a true technical service product champion in every aspect for Large Format Graphics (LFG) and Technical Documentation System (TDS) products developed by CPP.
You are part of a product team steered by a Service Product Manager. Within this team you drive service concepts and quality processes during product development by translating service objectives in technical specifications in conjunction with R&D and Manufacturing, focusing on the entire engine and peripherals. To realize service performance targets, you define and discuss design requirements with respect to serviceability. Installability duration and repair time, in combination with creating added value features for our customers, are examples of these targets.
To be successful you also liaise with our Training and Documentation Center to ensure availability of training and documentation tools, necessary to service our products and systems. You are a problem solver, strong in coordinating solutions, and assuring internal and external parties are working together on creating the solution that will contribute to a great customer satisfaction. Who you’ll work with Within the business line Large Format the team of Customer Support is responsible for realizing the service objectives for our products. Customer Support is therefore involved in the whole process from product development to technical support in the field.
You’ll be working closely together with the other Service Product Specialists within the team. Key internal and external stakeholders are Research & Development, Manufacturing & Logistics and the Canon Regional Sales organizations.
What You Bring We are looking for a decisive, pro-active (technical) expert with strong planning/project management skills. You have excellent analytical and organizational skills and a strong result driven mindset. You are a self-starter with the tenacity to focus on opportunities and quality in a challenging international environment with multiple stakeholders.
Besides that, you recognize yourself in the following job-requirements:

• A technical Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Mechanics, combined with Electronics and Software related knowledge/experience
• About 5 years of experience in a similar position, but you may also come from an R&D or Manufacturing environment with the ambition to move towards a business/service environment
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English - verbal and written
• You are prepared to travel internationally occasionally - about 5 times on a yearly base
