About the position
As Head of Production at Fokker Services Group you are responsible to ensure both the current
and future performance for the production department within Component Services (CS). Your
primary objective is to drive and optimize the operational performance, whilst cultivating a
strong safety culture, committed to continuous improvement. To achieve this you will oversee
three functional areas covering: The (3) repair shops repair shops (Power Generating, Avionics
& Instruments and Hydraulics & Pneumatics), Production Planning and Control (PPC) and
Process Engineering.

You will drive the development and improvement roadmap of the production department. You will
lead your team towards business goals with a strong focus on operational management and
continuous improvement. You will actively engage with departments Programs and Supply Chain
to maximize performance and customer satisfaction. You are overall responsible for the staffing
and staff development within Production CS and the improvement of standards and working
methods.

Position in organization
You will be an active member of the Component Services leadership. You will report to the
Managing Director Component Services, and work closely with other department leaders in
pursuit of operational excellence. The Head of Production is hierarchically and functionally
superior to the Production Leads, the Production & Planning Control Lead and the Process
Engineering Lead.

Responsibilities

• People Management; Lead, motivate and inspire in a time-sensitive and demanding

environment;

• Cultivate a strong safety culture, committed to continuous improvement in health and

safety;

• Lead towards business goals; Organize, Prioritize and Plan your team’s work

• Ensure your team has the process, resources and tools (4Ms) to meet the production

targets

• Develop and maintain scorecard of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and translate

metrics into actionable insights.

• Ensure the reporting structure of the support departments are in place;

• Managing internal and external (Operational) performance review meetings.
• Drive daily management, and structurally address (operational) issues to be resolved.

• Drive cross departmental standardization and implementation of best practices

• Secure the development and improvement roadmap of the production department

• Partner with cross functional teams to drive performance via continuous improvement

• Managing and monitoring and improving planning processes (SIOP, MPS) for the site

• Managing internal communications related to ensure clarity, agreement and efficiency
• Support the development of the Capability Portfolio

What we ask from you?

• Master’s degree in Aerospace

• 3+ years of managerial experience
• 3+ years of practitioner experience in continuous improvement activities

• General understanding of MRO operations, including scheduling, resource planning,

maintenance procedures and quality systems;

• Customer centric with strong communication skills in English and Dutch;
• Strong analytical skills and affinity with advanced analytics practices

• Excellence in collaboration with teams distributed globally across businesses, markets,

and corporate functions

• Demonstrate required knowledge of Aviation Quality Procedures/Standards, as well as

FAA/EASA Part 145 requirements and procedures.

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of Human Factors and how to mitigate risks while

planning for tasks.

• Holds Project Management Professional certification (IPMA)

• Holds formal certification in Lean and in Six Sigma. Alternative, meeting the

qualifications to earn such certification within 12-months

• Excellence in verbal and written communication in English
