What you will do

The Data Team is responsible for supporting the data needs of many teams at Tiqets by helping them become more data-driven in how they operate. As a Senior Data Analyst on the Data team, you will have the opportunity to work on various interesting problems related to Supply Acquisition, Supplier Portal User Analysis, A/B Testing, Reporting, Marketing Campaign Optimization, and much more.

You will work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Marketeers, and Merchandising Specialists to uncover insights about the business, build new hypotheses, and help Tiqets improve through an iterative process of testing and learning.

Responsibilities

• Deep dive into large business datasets to uncover valuable insights that can be turned into actionable hypotheses
• Design and implement data models with SQL in DBT
• Build explores and dashboards in Looker to allow others at the company to be able to ask the right data questions
• Work with Product Managers, Developers, Marketeers, and Merchandising Specialists to determine and measure the right metrics in their respective domains
• Keep a close eye on the ever-changing data challenges at Tiqets, and collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and other Data Analysts on the team to solve them
• Educate and empower others at the company to be more self-reliant for their data needs
• Mentor others in the team with technical guidance
• Collaborate on the architectural evolution of the Tiqets data model and reporting framework

Qualifications

• Technical or mathematical education at a Bachelors or Masters level
• 3+ years of experience in Data Analyst roles
• Experience with DBT.
• Strong SQL skills; Experience working with a modern Data Warehouse like Redshift, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Experience building reports on BI tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to clearly explain concepts and actionable insights
• Capacity to thrive in a startup/scale-up environment, adapt quickly, work independently, and take ownership of your work
• Nice to have: prior experience in e-commerce with a background in hypothesis-driven A/B Testing
