Junior HR Officer

(24 hours)

The Junior HR Officer will be part of the Human Resources team at the Global Office. This team consists of 1 Senior Manager HR, 2 HR Advisors, 1 HR Administrator, 1 HR Officer Expatriate Services, 1 HR Organisational Expert and 1 Global Security Advisor. We closely work together on a broad variety of HR activities in a fast changing and dynamic international organisation with interesting challenges.

What you will do

As a Junior HR Officer you will provide support regarding a varied set of HR related activities. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Recruitment

Applying and thinking of methods and techniques to come to the required numbers of qualified staff, both Global Office staff and expats. You will formulate vacancy texts, make selections of the received applications, and maintain contact with the candidates about the procedure and the progress of the process.

  • HR Administration

Preparing and administering (employment) contracts and any other HR administrative work, like preparation salaries and correspondence.

  • On- and off boarding

Proposing improvements for the onboarding roadmap and keeping it up to date. You promote the use of the onboarding tools and keep evaluation interviews of the onboarding. Conducting exit interviews with leaving staff members and reporting on the outcomes on a regular basis.

  • Personnel information

Preparing and making the necessary reports. You propose improvements for the efficient use of the personnel information system (AFAS). Propose steps for further digitalisation. Accounts creation for the regional and local staff.

  • Support HR Advice

Supports in the areas of absenteeism counselling, job interviews, organization of internal training programs and other HR work. Participate in HR-projects.

  • Answering questions of staff on practical HR topics
  • Support the HR team in HR improvement projects

Who you are

You are an enthusiastic organizational talent and eager to further develop yourself in the field of HR. You are a master at keeping a clear overview, and you get excited about supporting co-workers.

  • You have knowledge of Human Resources and Recruitment on a bachelor level and knowledge of labour laws.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in HR, preferably within an international environment.
  • You have good writing skills to formulate vacancy texts and (improvement) memo’s.
  • You have social / communication skills to maintain contact with external and internal parties.
  • You are accurate and have excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in working with AFAS and MS Excel.
  • You have good proficiency in English and Dutch. Knowledge of French would be considered an asset.
