We are looking for a pro-active, result-driven lab technician in our R&D team.

As laboratory analyst you support the innovation and technical solutions team of DFE Pharma with analysis on excipients (powders) to understand its functionality in the application (tablets and inhalation). In this role you prepare and execute experiments and tests, and analyse and report results. Additionally, you maintain all R&D equipment and systems in order to contribute to realisation of projects and objectives.

Tasks

  • Plan and set up experiments, discuss with project leader and acquire approval, prepare equipment and ensure availability of all necessary materials on time
  • Execute experiments in a laboratory environment according to test setup and applicable health and safety regulations
  • Collect and analyse results of executed experiments according to test setup, and summarise, analyse, interpret and report results in the appropriate systems
  • Manage laboratory, improve work processes and ensure availability of all basic materials like disposables, ingredients and equipment according to guidelines and health and safety regulations
  • Maintain, improve and actualise laboratory equipment and validate and calibrate equipment regularly in accordance with applicable guidelines
  • Discuss requirements, and develop, test and implement new or improved methods and techniques, when possible in cooperation with suppliers
  • Issue advice at request or at own initiative based on own expertise
Requirements

  • Pro-active, lab-oriented team player
  • Hands-on problem solving skills - translating your understanding of the problem into an approach towards a solution
  • Education in pharmacy, physical chemistry, lab technology or related
  • Comfortable in using the English language
  • \ >3 years of experience in laboratory or pilot environment
  • Powder characterization experience
