Establish the Europe region’s Young Talent portfolio including our GROW Graduate Scheme, Internships, Apprenticeships, student engagement and school outreach programmes. Partnering with the Talent Acquisition team and our businesses across Europe, establish a young talent strategy, calendar and approach.

This role is a key in defining the policies and practices for the graduate and local apprentice/ internships, as well as working with key stakeholders in business, global and regional mobility, talent and reward and payroll to manage the rotations and graduate programme deployment. Your role will be vital in nurturing emerging talent, ensuring a strong pipeline of future professionals and leaders for DP World Europe, and establishing the GROW Graduate Programme is best in class in the industry

How you will contribute

  • Manage the end to end process of the regional GROW programmes (existing and new regional programmes) year on year
  • Collaborate with group and regional immigration/ mobility teams on preparing for graduate mobility
  • Partner with all business leaders in agreeing graduate intake, rotations, development and performance from pre-launch and throughout the programme
  • Engage and inspire the graduates within the programme and be a point of contact for all programme or personal matters
  • Establish key programme goals by capability and monitor achievement of these goals for all graduates
  • Manage all performance matters, including early placement of graduates, termination of contracts or withdrawal from the programme
  • Prepare detailed rotation and immigration plans, track and report status
  • Develop a budget year on year for existing and new graduate programmes
  • Prepare policy and practice for existing and future graduates, and socialize accordingly
  • Work with the Talent Acquisition team in preparing and running the annual assessment centres
  • Lead the placement of graduates ahead of the end of their programme
  • Prepare social media and internal messaging on the programme and spotlight successes
  • Manage the Graduate Event & Training Course annual requirements including managing the calendar of events, securing dates, sourcing & booking venues across the region and other duties to ensure the smooth running of events
  • Booking of guest speakers & facilitators and all administration to make their role effective
  • Oversee the preparation of materials for events, conferences & training courses
  • Act as a facilitator at events as required
  • Manage invoice processing for events, learning and other expenditure
  • Support the graduates and interns through personal coaching and formal training throughout their programme
  • Monitor and report on the success of the GROW programme against intake & completion KPI
  • Seek sentiment and feedback from the graduates to implement continuous improvement to the programme
School Outreach
  • Lead the development & implementation of a school outreach capability to attract young student interest in DP World
  • Establish a working group of internal stakeholders to co-ordinate the development of the programme (Marketing & Branding, OTD, HR, TA, Communications and others as required)
  • Provide advice and support to the working group for outreach planning and implementation
  • Source and procure vendors for the programme development and manage the vendor delivery in line with the contracts
  • Develop partnerships with schools to create, promote, and support new outreach initiatives
  • Co-ordinate the hosting of outreach events, managing the programme timetable, booking the facilitators, ensure materials are available & delivered to location
  • Leverage the school partnerships to explore career opportunities at the school leaver level
  • Develop a budget year on year for existing and new outreach programmes
Young Talent
  • Actively support TA in identifying graduate/young talent demand across the region and supporting the assessment centres and selection process
  • Partner with the TA and marketing teams to ensure COE presence at relevant University Days/ Career Fairs/ Expos across the region
  • Support the processes, practices and placements with the local HR teams for Internships/ apprenticeships

What you will bring

Qualifications
  • Bachelor/Masters degree in business, HR, psychology
Experience
  • Understanding needs of young talents & graduates and different generations, and demonstrating previous experience of delivering something similar
  • At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role/environment
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supply chain or logistics industry
  • Strong project management abilities and exceptional attention to detail, enabling the successful execution of multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Knowledge of and experience in designing and organising training & development programs
  • Experience in coaching and training
  • Experience working across multiple geographies
  • Excellent stakeholder management in working with senior leaders, communities partnerships and training suppliers
  • Understand business
  • Managing a budget to deliver a project or programme
  • Proactive and adaptable mindset, with a genuine passion for early careers development and talent management.
