Scope

Internship in a dynamic international environment. Do not apply if you like repetitive tasks as no two days in our office are the same!

The intern will be operating as an assistant towards the colleagues IT support engineers and act as direct help into our daily IT operational support organisation in a way to assist them. Our Amsterdam IT team has a European scope and works closely together with Office Management & HR to ensure a smooth and secure operating workplace for all our staff.

The intern will report to local IT and OM Manager.

An average work day of an intern IT may consist of the following activities:

When at the office you will start your day at 08.00hrs doing some checks. All systems working? No hick ups? than continue to look for any outstanding tickets that came in overnight. At 09.00hrs there will be some new people joining and you will handover the laptop and account details that you prepared the day before.

At 11.00hrs you will join the call with our HQ as we need to discuss some projects planned for 2023. When returning to your desk you see that the mailroom just delivered some new laptops that need to be prepared for joiners in some of our European offices.

After lunch we have a quick brainstorming with our colleagues from the business preparing a gaming tournament at our office making sure all games are appealing for all our staff. When returning to your desk there is an employee who needs your help with his laptop. After installing some new software and troubleshooting he is good to go and can continue working again.

You end your day preparing for the next day and handover to your colleague who will be in the office the next day. Tomorrow you will be working from home.

Responsibility

• Install PCs and all required software applications + administration
• Troubleshooting problems and maintain basic repair activities on PCs;
• Installing, supporting and providing routine maintenance to hardware and software;
• Registering and follow up of IT service tickets;
• Regular updating local IT assets into the database and generating simple reports and overviews for global purpose;
• Assisting in massive software upgrades and installations of patches on PCs / servers;
• Keep IT Engineers and support desk colleagues informed about progress of tasks;
• Physical Asset management (PCs, Monitors, Keyboards, Cables, Equipment and accessories);
• Monitoring on frequently appearing incidents and look for proper solutions;

• A Fulltime internship position, start as soon as possible, in European HQ Amsterdam (next to Amstel station);

Education And Related Experience

• IT-related education;
• Enrolled as a student at a European school/university;
• Preference for a student who lives in the Netherlands;
• Available ASAP for 5 to 6 months;
• Passion for IT & technology;
• Professional attitude, communicative (verbal & written);
• Ability to perform well in a team;
• Fluent in English.
