Coordinator Education

Design Academy Eindhoven, a well-known educational design institute, is looking for a Coordinator Education (22 hours per week).

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will be coordinating two Master Departments and have an important position in managing the organization of our education. You will translate the annual Department Plan, as set up by the Department Head, to an educational program. You will handle communication and planning with Tutors and students, keep track of quality assurance of the overall set-up of the program during the year and solve issues during regular meetings with the educational support teams. Furthermore, you guide feedback sessions, organise trips and collaborations with other institutions and you are secretary of the evaluation team during the assessment weeks. You have an important organising role in an ambitious educational ecology and manage the budgets for the educational activities.

You identify and suggest opportunities for improvements and keep track of the development of the educational programme. You team up with Tutors, students, Department Heads, the Head of MA Programme, your coordinating colleagues and the supporting services (e.g. Finance, HRM, Communications) to ensure the processes run as smoothly as possible. You advice and support in formulating long-term goals and the professional development of the educational programmes. Therefore, presence at DAE for at least two days a week is required.

• A year contract for 22 hours per week;
• A salary within the range of € 4.535.76 and € 6.359,47 gross per month based on 36 hours per week;
• Reimbursement of your public transport costs or a kilometre reimbursement of € 0,23 per kilometre;
• A workplace within the centre of Eindhoven. Within walking distance from the train station and a parking spot next to the building;
• The possibility to work from home and a home-work allowance;
• A holiday allowance of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3% and other conditions in accordance with CAO-HBO;

Your future colleagues

The Master Programme consists of five Departments: Social Design, Contextual Design, Information Design, Geo-Design and the Critical Inquiry Lab. Each department is led by the Head of the Department in close collaboration with a Coordinator. The Department Head builds a successful team of tutors that mentor and teach the students over their 2-year Master course. The team of Coordinators is managed by the Head of Master Programme.
