As a Kitchen Apprentice, you are responsible for preparing dishes according to hotel standards. This involves à la minute cooking techniques according to the established instructions concerning ingredients, recipes, working methods and presentation.

What are you going to do?

04:30 Your alarm goes off and you get ready for your shift. 05:45 You are in the kitchen and grab yourself a cup of coffee to start with. 06:00 Together with your colleague from the F&B service you set up the buffet in the restaurant. 07:00 The first guests arrive; you prepare a delicious egg dish for one of your favorite regular guests. 10:45 After the final guests leave the breakfast restaurant, you clean up where possible and prepare the mise en place for the following day. 11:15 If necessary, you prepare a (sandwich) lunch for the meeting and event guests. 11:30 Enjoy your lunch with colleagues from other departments. 12:00 The lunch in the restaurant has started and you ensure they have a perfect experience from start to finish. 13:30 The last guests leave, and you and the team make sure the mise en place is in order for the next shift and your workplace is neat and clean. 14:00 Time to go home!

What are we looking for?

  • Helping guests puts a big smile on your face. The ‘always a pleasure mentality is second nature for you, and you are happy go the extra mile for our guests;
  • You are a hard worker with an eye for detail and see a challenge in every situation;
  • You have a passion for food and you have a good command of the English and Dutch language.
  • You are a student of a level 2 or 3 Intermediate Vocational Education culinary school or a similar study.
