About this vacancy

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale Data Center projects worldwide for one of our key clients, a global leader in energy distribution solutions.

Based in the Netherlands, their Center of Competence manages projects from engineering and procurement to installation and commissioning. The team of 150 professionals includes project managers, engineers, QHSE experts, and site supervisors.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a professional and actionable project execution plan—delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your leadership ensures optimal team performance and you are comfortable in operating between different high-demanding stakeholders, while maintaining the spirit of the team. Stakeholder management is a critical aspect of your role, particularly towards the high demanding customers in this rapidly growing market.

What we expect from you

Our client is seeking a strong leader who can set clear directions and ensure project success. The position involves managing a team of approximately 8 FTE, overseeing projects focused on electrical engineering and power systems. Hybrid work is possible in the long term, but candidates must currently reside in the Netherlands and hold an EU or Dutch nationality.

You are in possession of:

• 7+ years of experience as a Project Manager in technical, international environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with clients, colleagues, and suppliers.
• PMP or IPMA certification; VCA VOL or ISO 45001 (OHSAS) safety certification.
• A Bachelor), preferably in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering.
• A structured, solution-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Willingness to travel ±25% of the time to sites and factories worldwide.
