Equity Finance Trader

Equity finance is a new business at IMC and is part of our successful Forward team. We already have a partnership with a Prime broker dealer and are active in the broker space. We are looking for a Junior Equity Finance Trader who will join this established team of experienced traders covering all types of listed Delta one products on European blue-chip indices.

Your Core Responsibilities:

• Execute trades on stocks, futures and FX for hedging Delta One products and synthetic equity finance
• Manage the single stock book as well as the funding and corporate risk exposure
• Work closely with our best-in-class research and quant teams to analyze your results and improve your approach
• Maximize revenue by both finding, and then capitalizing on funding and corporate action opportunities
• Work closely with others to improve and develop the setup, pricing and processes
• You will have lots of responsibility and ownership early to drive strategies forward and be successful.

Your Skills and Experience:

• You are a junior trader with 6 months to 1 year of work experience on an Equity Finance trading desk
• You have a Master’s degree preferably in Financial Engineering, Maths or Computer Science
• You possess a strong knowledge of equity finance products (listed and OTC), stock borrowing and lending as well as all types of corporate actions.
• You are passionate with trading, with a good understanding of finance regulations and taxations which could trigger trading opportunities.
• You demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite and quick decision making.
• You have strong analytical skills following a clear and structured thought process.
• IMC is a fintech company where your coding skills will be put to good use (Python, VBA etc.).
• You are able to build and manage strong relationship with brokers to perform your day to day trades.
• You are self-disciplined, able to drive projects, work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• You are a strong team player who enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment.
• You have excellent knowledge of the English language.
