Battolyser Systems is looking to recruit an Process Technologist

In this role you will be part of the Customer Operations team and will be mainly responsible for the remote monitoring and troubleshooting of our client’s operations. You are a jack of all trades with a background in process operations/engineering and are able to consider and implement operational matters in engineering- as well as during the operating phases. Continuous improvement will be key, and you are able to translate practical learnings into design improvements across relevant technical disciplines. More specifically, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Act as process operations focal point in (pre-) commissioning, Factory- and Site Acceptance Testing and support the start-up of future Battolyser products.
• Lead the operations of our Battolyser products during testing period (ranging 1-5MW in capacity). After the Battolyser product startup, responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting of our remote facilities and acting as focal point towards customers on operations and maintenance.
• Responsible for the safe execution of the maintenance by applying LOTO to the Battolyser units.
• Integrate customer feedback into design of new Battolyser products and responsible for implementing operational requirements into the design and fabrication of the Battolyser products.
• Develop and update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the Battolyser products.
Provide general multi-disciplinary support to the engineering team.

You will be mostly work during regular office hours and will be based at Battolyser Systems. You will monitor the units from the Battolyser’s Systems Control Centre (BSCC) in Schiedam.

This role is at bachelor degree/ VAPRO-C level and requires at least 3-5 years operational process experience in the (petro) chemical or energy industry. You are technically savy, and are passionate about new technologies and have preferably experience in testing, commissioning, starting-up and operations of process/chemical systems. More specifically you are experienced in operating process control systems and can work independently. You speak, write and understand English and preferably also Dutch. You are ‘hands-on’ but know when to call in the help of the specialists. You are a real integrator, problem solver and able to represent Battolyser interacting with customers. Oh, and if you have experience with electrolysers and/or batteries that would really set you apart.
