Department Overview:

RLB’s Cost Management division in Europe is expanding and as such, we are excited to be recruiting an Associate to join and strengthen our team in the Netherlands.

The role presents a brilliant opportunity to work on local Data Centre projects for Hyperscale Data Centre Developers who already have a very impressive project portfolio across multiple sites. We are looking for candidates with a proven cost and commercial management background within the Data Centre sector.

The position offers a platform to develop professionally and opportunities to progress while working alongside a diverse and impressive team on exciting projects for a variety of clients, as well as a chance to truly shape the future of RLB’s European business.

Overview of Role:

This role presents an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for providing all core MEP Cost Management services on a number of interesting projects, acting as the sole contact with each client as well as provide support to the existing team in the delivery of projects.

This is a leadership position and as such requires proven experience leading MEP / Cost Management teams and taking a strategic view in order to grow RLB’s MEP Cost Management offering in Europe.

There will be a focus on professional work on a wide variety of selected projects ranging from £5m to £500m including:

• Data Centres

• Commercial new build and refurbishment projects

• Major residential and mixed-use developments

• Sports and Leisure/Stadium projects - both nationally and globally

Whilst we envisage the primary role to help develop our Data Centre offering (in conjunction with the Cost Management Partners), a degree of flexibility will be required to develop opportunities and work on projects in other sectors.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role, and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar technical discipline

• Strong technical delivery experience

• Strong MEP Experience

• Experience in Data Centres would be beneficial

• MRICS or membership of other relevant professional body

• Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner

• Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery

• Able to build long-term relationships

• Previously employed by a consultancy or end user client

• Stakeholder management with a clear focus on developing client accounts

• A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines

• A team player, outgoing, flexible, enthusiastic and ambitious
