In December 2017 the non-core procurement activities such as Ibuy order desk and Accounts Payable were outsourced to a service provider. A local retained team remained which acts as MSP. This local team is known as Procurement Bank NL Super Circle.
This team, 7 FTE’s, is responsible for the day to day operational activities by monitoring the performance of the service provider, providing approvals, perform quality checks, managing system access, and solve complex cases with regard to ordering, invoice processing and payments. They have the helicopter view of the end to end process and are servicing all business units within ING NL.
You will be one of the 4 team members responsible and working in the daily operations but also can be involved is projects for system enhancements, process improvements, risk assessments, etc. Furthermore, every team member needs to have knowledge of all these processes to be able to successfully act as intermediary between ING Business needs, supplier questions and service provider. Solving complex cases and incidents. As a result, team members not only have in depth knowledge about these processes but also learn, due to the intensive contact with internal stakeholder, more about ING as a whole.
Role and responsibilities
As Operational Control Specialist PBNL SC you are the spider within the web for the full end to end request 2 pay activities. In this role you will be part of the Procurement team that manages the outsourced Accounts Payable and Ibuy Order desk activities.
Your responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily activities of our Request to Pay service provider where you play a key role in monitoring processing lead times, performing quality checks and are the point of contact for complex cases.
- Preform operational activities by providing review and approvals with regard to Ibuy supplier master data changes
- Applying case management related to incidents, urgent supplier payments or any payment interruptions.
- Together with your colleagues, act as intermediary between supplier, ING Business stakeholder and service provider who’s handling the back-office Accounts Payable and Order Desk activities. Responsible for picking up and correct handling of all received queries
- Reconciling financial (bank-)statements and explain financial movements wrt the system transit accounts.
- Support in risk, sox and system testing activities

Furthermore, you have:
- Current residency in the Netherlands
- You have an Bachelor degree (or relevant working experience supported by certificates)
- 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience in a service and analytical environment
- You are fluent in English and Dutch (you will have to read emails in Dutch & English)

- Strong interpersonal skills. You find it easy to communicate with all levels of the organisation
