ABOUT GENERATOR AMSTERDAM

Winner of the Hospitality Design Best Economy Hotel Award. Ride your bicycle along café-lined waterways, visit the most creative shops around De Pijp or just kick back by the canal and try a few cold Dutch beers. Its pretty hard to get stressed in Amsterdam, but having a good time is easy.

Generator Amsterdam is located in the up-and-coming eastern side of the city overlooking Oosterpark. This former zoological university building can accommodate 564 guests in 168 twin and quadruple rooms with incredible views on the surrounding and en-suite bathrooms. There is also one luxury apartment for six people with views of the park and a self-catered kitchen. It has flexible and spacious social areas, filled with creative design touches like glass-fronted elevators, a raised café and an outdoor terrace. Weve turned the former lecture hall into an impressive chill-out lounge and bar, while the old library is now a relaxation and private events room. The basement and café are now dining destinations and the original boiler room has become a secret late-night bar.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Responsible for the overall running of our late night Hotel Club "Oosterbar" ensuring an efficient and effective operation
• To ensure that adequate stock and equipment is available before and during service
• Strive at all times for 100% customer satisfaction & resolve any service issues satisfactorily
• Provide the best service by understanding all aspects of product knowledge for the creation and dispense of drinks and table maintenance
• Develop and train all employees within your charge in order that they perform to the required standard
• To uphold company policies regarding Drugs and Alcohol at work, staff drinks and wastage
• To be fully aware of the company and personal responsibilities with regards to licensing legislation
• Know all statutory legislation and ensure H&S, Fire Safety and Food Hygiene compliance

• A passion for trending local Food and Drink concepts
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Cocktail and spirit knowledge
