Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- A higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years’ experience directly related to this position;
- OR a secondary educational completion with 5 years’ experience directly related to this position;
- At least 3 years experience in service management (i.e. incident, problem, and change management);
- Experience in management and use of related toolsets, e.g. IT Service Management (ITSM);
- Professional experience and knowledge of telecommunications, network, IT solutions and products;
- Customer support-focused approach in a control centre environment;
- Work experience in roles requiring the ability to handle multiple incidents/problems simultaneously while adapting to constantly changing requirements.
- Previous experience working in a Network Operations Centre/Service Operations Centre;
- ITIL v3 Service Operations or ITIL 4 Create, Deliver, and Support certification;
- CCNA and/or COMPTIA Network+ certification;
- Experience with network monitoring tools, such as DX Spectrum, Performance Management Centre, and Splunk;
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
- Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including Allied Command Operations (ACO) and Allied Command Transformation (ACT).
- Supporting all areas of the ESOC and performing other duties as required or directed by ITOM, DCOs/DDCOs;
- Coordinating with internal Organizational Elements and external entities to restore NCIA provisioned services;
- Supporting the Problem Management process at the Enterprise level and handling day-to-day activities related to this process;
- Supporting Organizational Elements (Business Areas, CSUs) with the Problem Management process and practice;
- Supporting SMC Problem Manager and participating on Enterprise and Local Problem Governance Boards;
- Reviewing actively Performance Management objectives, building up and maintaining a personal development plan ensuring regular monitoring to accomplish set goals;
- Collaborating to Continual Service Improvement (CSI) process;
- Participating in the development and delivery of the required on-the-job training to other Technicians;
- Deploying to all ESOC sites if required;
- Participating in training at the NCIA Academy if required;
- Deputizing for higher grade staff, if required;
- Performing other duties as may be required.
