We are looking for a Junior System Engineer

About the role:

This role is an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable the realization of successful systems. The methodology considers both the business and the technical needs of all customers and is aimed at providing a quality product that meets the users needs. You will be interacting closely with process engineering, research and development, project management and manufacturing teams.

Specific tasks will include:

• Manage the project scope (requirements) and the interfaces between different work packages and phases.

• In close contact with the project team and coordinate the translation of contract requirements to concrete specifications together with the technical teams.

• Be responsible for the correct use and data within the tools to ensure one way of working.

• Analyses of codes and standards.

• General engineering guidelines and practices.

• Ideation (contribution to).

• D-FMEA, DoE, and other tooling (supporting through general understanding of functions and contributing factors).

• Aligning on function verification methods.

• Analysis for optimization: geometry, function integration, materials, cost, etc.

• Continuously keep an eye on potential improvements in the most general sense.

• Identify lacunes in knowledge within the department and suggest improvement actions

About you:

We are keen to hear from candidates with relevant expertise in the R&D field. You are a technology enthusiast eager to learn more and transfer that knowledge to your colleagues. We believe, to be successful in this role, you have 0-2 years’ experience in a development department, with a BSc or MSc degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics, Chemical or similar).

• Precise, accurate and thoroughness resonates well with you.

• You have the ability to break down problems into tangible bits.

• Experience with setting up and optimizing analytical models.

• Understanding of the research, design and engineering processes and tools.

• Ability to engage with both (internal) customers, researchers, designers, and engineers.

• A ‘can do’-mentality with a growth mindset is a must and you do not compromise on safety nor quality.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• A plus is experience at a student team
