What you do

You are responsible for implementing and execution of risk-based security management. As a Security Officer you are working for multiple clients simultaneously. Because of your understanding how to mitigate specific risks at the client, you ensure adequate security management.

In your role, you ensure that security management is safeguarded in a continuous cycle at your clients. You understand their biggest threats and create a security management plan to mitigate these risks. Therefore, you take a holistic approach and know when the customer needs technical or behavioral measures besides their business-related measures. You are working closely together with our other cybersecurity teams. The client can focus on its core business because of your guidance towards the right actions regarding security management.

The team

The Security and Privacy Office (SPO) is part of our Managed Security Services department. You’ll join a team of enthusiastic Security Officers/CISOs who are primarily responsible for an optimal service delivery and client partnership. You’ll closely work together with other teams within the same domain (Privacy; information security project team) as well as with team members of other domains within Northwave.

Of course, you won’t do this by yourself. Our Security & Privacy office consists of different lines of support. The first line of support is there to answer all incoming questions. The second line acts on a more tactical level and the third line are the strategic partner for the organization. Together you ensure the client can focus on what’s important: their primary business. You report to our Manager Security and Privacy Office.

• Designing and updating security and data protection
• Building and maintaining a relationship with your clients and understanding their core business
• Being a partner for the client and advise them on a tactical or strategical level, often at board-level
• Translating abstract information security issues in concrete solutions
• Creating a change throughout a management system for the client
• Monitoring the implementations and continuation of security (and privacy) management

• Several years of experience in a comparable role (e.g. Security Officer, CISO, Security Consultant or Project Manager Information Security).
• An independent and well-structured way of working
• Excellent networking skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English
CISSP/CISM/CISA/CCSP/CIPP-E/CIPM certifications are an advantage
