Junior Data Processor

As Deep continues to develop in its field, we are now looking for experienced and innovative data professionals to join our company.

What will be your role?

As junior data processor working within Deep you will be part of the data team that is responsible for the processing, reporting and charting of project data. This also includes project preparations and data QA/QC.

You should be able to collaborate with colleagues as part of a team, be a quick learner and keen to improve your skills under the supervision of more senior processors.

Your core functions are:

• Processing of singlebeam, multibeam, side scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler and magnetometer data, with support from more senior processors.
• Assisting with interpretation, charting and report writing;
• Assisting with administrative requirements on project level;

For this role we are looking for someone with the following skills and competences:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Geophysics, Hydrography, Physics or a related Science;
• No direct experience working with shallow geophysical data is required, though some experience is desired.
• Experience using geophysical processing and interpretation software, such as Oasis Montaj, Sonarwiz, Autoclean,Innomar ISE2, Kingdom, QGIS, etc. is a plus;
• Comfort working on Window’s operating system is required.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal is required;
• Strong numerical and data handling skills are required.
• Flexible in working hours and prepared to occasionally work on weekends;
• Core competencies: Proactive, coaching, collaborative, highly organized, excellent planning skills, excellent communication skills, eye for detail.
