THE POSITION

You will have an autonomous role within the Development and Asset management team. You will work together with the various Country Directors of Development, Development Managers and a Senior Analyst Feasibility and M&A. The team is headed up by our Director of Development & Asset Management to whom you will report directly.

As key member of the team, this role is responsible for providing a single point of contact between the hotel operations team and the development & asset management team. You provide specialist advice to various internal stakeholders and are the liaison in the on-going asset management of the hotels.

To be successful in the role you adept at tapping into diverse sources of information, identifying profitable opportunities, anticipating challenges, engaging and partnering with key business leaders, owners and franchisees, thereby strengthening Odysseys reputation.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Optimise the value of Odyssey’s hotel portfolio.
• Engage actively and invest in owner relations to optimise performance.
• Analysing and benchmarking each property against portfolio/benchmark performance.
• Assisting as appropriate in the development of annual operating and capital expenditure budgets.
• Facilitate the delivery of hotel projects on time and on budget with anticipated value, meeting brand standards and enhancing brand equity.
• Influence key departments to ensure on time and accurate project completion.
• Implement processes to lead, manage and monitor a large variety of projects, ensure appropriate controls and measures are in place to anticipate and manage project risks.
• Identify and address risks to approved value including making necessary suggestions to modify management and/or other agreements in accordance with issue resolution.
• Ensure the timely exchange of information with key internal and external stakeholders to analyse/address project specific issues (e.g. funding/ capitalisation requirements, termination provisions, default events, insurance requirements, etc.) and ensure key stakeholders satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external) in order to effectively influence business decisions and optimise overall work effectiveness.

HOW YOULL DO IT

• Excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative approach, but also able to work independently.
• Ability to understand, prioritise and then route issues to the appropriate support provider accordingly.
• Happy to work routine-based as well as project-based.
• Analytical, practical and accurate.

WHAT YOULL BRING

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related discipline is required.
• Proficient use of Excel (use, audit and modelling), Power BI and generally Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English; German or Dutch fluency is an added bonus.
• Knowledge of data, and administrative management practices and procedure.
• Hospitality background is preferable but not required.
