Reducing breaks in Curve Definition Library

Have you always been interested in how derivatives are valued within Rabobank? For our Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange products we store our valuation decisions in a database called Curve Definition Library. As the name suggests, it stores the definitions of curves used for the valuation of our Front Office trading books. The CDL application has functionality to reconcile what is used in our production systems with what is stored in CDL, to make sure production is aligned with what we agreed. It is a control mechanism.

During the internship you will focus on this reconciliation, reducing the number of breaks between CDL and the production systems, but also thinking about improving the functionality of the system and the process. On top of that, it will give you a nice glance at how derivatives are valued.

Profile:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master program;
  • Available for at least 3-4 days per week (5 is also possible);
  • Startdate: flexible.
