At Amgen Breda, medicines are labeled, assembled, stored, and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people from 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.

Join us in enhancing our Bill of Materials (BOM) processes. This internship focuses on process mapping, data mining, and analysis of BOM data. As we transition to a digital approach, standardizing BOM practices across our network is essential for growth. The integration of technology tools, including BOTs and generative AI, will enhance data agility.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a quantitative and qualitative assessment of BOM practices across Amgen sites and regions using data mining tools.
• Perform SAP data mining assessment to support process improvements.

Deliverables:

• Prepare a report summarizing SAP BOM data mining and analysis results.
• Identify process improvements and propose new KPIs.

To be successful as an intern you need the following:

• Be a pre-final or a final year student, from both bachelor’s and master’s studies in Science, Digital Data Management, Industry Engineering, or similar.
• Have proficiency in English (both verbal and written. Dutch is a plus).
• Good technical writing skills, proficiency in MS Excel, fluency in English, and experience with SAP.
• Strong interest in digital or data sciences.
• Knowledge of materials management, including familiarity with ERP systems (SAP).
• Self-starter with a strategic mindset.
