Education is changing and with reshaping the learning possibilities for our students (where following classes cross-domains is possible) we need to rethink our guidance. To keep track of our students during their educational journey, we are looking for a study monitor (0.6 FTE). About this job
The Academy of Tourism (AT) is setting the first foundation for the future approach of education+ at BUas. Students will be allowed to choose their curriculum across academies. To help keep track of this process for our students, we are looking for a Study Monitor (0.6 FTE).

As a Study Monitor you will guide a group of first year cohort students and monitor their educational journey. You follow their process and inform them on time about important moments and choices. You make sure the necessary information is available on time and communicate if necessary. You are the linking pin between the students, educationalists, Theme Teams, operational staff and the organisation. With your organisational talent you keep overview. You are able to recognise (possible) bottlenecks and are pro-active in reporting these to the right person or department.

We form this new job together and you are free to form your own task/responsibilities within this role. You are closely connected to shaping the future of education. Your job is autonomous, but you collaborate a lot with other members from the team (educationalist, placement office, operational support staff, counsellours, coaches etc.) You are the one who is monitoring and keeping track of our first year students in their educational journey.

What do we offer?

• The salary for this position amounts to a monthly minimum of € 3,091.78 and a monthly maximum of € 4,085,57 (gross amounts based on full-time employment);
• This position is classified as scale 8 of the CAO HBO (collective labour agreement). Your official job title will be that of Educational Support assistant;
• This position involves a one-year employment contract with the possibility of conversion into an indefinite employment contract;
• Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by public transport;
• You will receive compensation for health insurance;
• You will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and an 8% holiday allowance in May;
• You will also be awarded professional development hours every year and almost eleven weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-time position;
• You will be working at our modern, sustainable and high-tech campus within a vibrant, creative and dynamic environment;
• A crucial role in the development of our future education as a BUas+.

What do we ask of you?

• You have experience in systematic working and setting up systems to follow processes;
• You are good at keeping overview and know when to take action or inform others to take action;
• You work efficiently and structured;
• You are an administrative and organisational talent. Working with systems such as Osiris, Brightspace and Microsoft is no problem for you;
• You are enthusiastic and keen to contribute to the educational journey of our students;
• You will be working in an international and intercultural setting. Therefore, having excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch is a necessity. BUas provides guidance for further professionalization of your English.
