System Administrator

Valtech is looking for a System Administrator, who will be part of the global IT team, directly supporting the NL IT environment. Are you passionate about maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting computer systems, servers and networks? If yes, this might be the opportunity for you!

A day in the life of a System Administrator

As a System Administrator, you fulfil an essential role. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining the server- and network environment but also be the first- and second-line support for Windows 10/11, Mac OSX user related questions and specific tools like O365 and Microsoft Authenticator.

In addition, you will:

• Deliver 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support to the business
• Keep the NL and UK IT environment online
• Work on our internal IT systems with a cloud first approach
• Work together with a team of technicians all around the world
• Troubleshoot problems together with your (UK or global IT) colleagues

Since there are a lot of global (IT) initiatives there are possibilities to be part of specific projects, together with your global IT colleagues. The ability to take responsibility is important to us.

You and the role

Our System Administrator will work closely together with colleagues of the UK IT team who are based in London and Bristol. Although you will be primarily responsible for the NL IT environment you will also support the UK IT environment in case of high workload or due to the absence of your colleagues.

We would love if you have

• A completed college education and/or or certifications like Comptia Network+ or Microsoft certifications (Microsoft 365 fundamentals)
• 1- 2 years relevant work experience
• Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch (written and spoken) is a big plus
• Basic knowledge and experience in managing Windows Server environments
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts like VPN, Switches and Access Points
• Skillset: Windows 10/11, Mac OSX, Azure, O365, Microsoft AD, Intune, PowerShell scripting

Additional skills

• Knowledge of cloud solutions: Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password
• Knowledge about Sophos Endpoint Security, Microsoft Defender ATP, Cisco Meraki
