Program Manager Space Management

Our Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Netherlands department is responsible for all CRE activities/responsibilities for the Netherlands portfolio and ensure alignment with CRE strategy, business continuity and operational excellence in accordance with CRE’s foundational elements.



Role and responsibilities

The Program Manager is responsible for managing (large) changes in the field of Space Management. Changes are initiated following various sources: a priority planning, business cases and budget plan (CAPEX) and to ensure implementation of these changes in adherence to the plan and other criteria such as performance, KPIs, risk, compliancy and functional criteria.

The role of Program Manager entails the following key responsibilities:

• Act as the central contact point for the (strategic) client during initiation, preparation phases until URS is delivered & hand over to the project is completed

• Participate in the relevant steerco’s to review and approve design / scope changes

• Support in the calculation of business case for change plans and cost estimates for impact on the organization considering balance between risks, performance and costs (TCO)

• In alignment with CRE Business Partners, inform business stakeholders about impact and progress of projects and programs and ensure coordination between activities (if necessary together with project managers).

• Organize, facilitate, and participate in meetings and translate the outcome into a report out for internal and external stakeholders.

• Providing effective communication by set up of structures and platforms to share and structure information.

• Supports the Facility Management team & Space Management by interpreting created reports, raising suggestions and implementing new processes and structures.

• Collaborate with Real Estate Development & Strategy (REDS) and CRE Center of Expertise (CoE) to ensure space usage is aligned with business needs and financial objectives.

• Take the lead in translating customer wishes for regional projects (translating URS into a suitable working environment)

• Evaluation of new working environment

• Alignment CoE on workplace standards and improvements

• Program management role, such as onboarding, integral URS responsibility,....

• Change management (hybrid working is a new way of space allocation and use) (hiring specific expertise where necessary)

• Coordination of all moves in 2024 (overall management of all disciplines)
  

Education and experience

• Bachelor / Master degree in business management, hospitality management, facility manage or similar.

• At least 5-10 years of similar experience in housing space management, scenario and demand management.
