Our team, Innovation for Wholesale & Rural (W&R Innovation), Rabobank is an innovation department that builds new products outside the bank’s traditional core business. Using data science, software engineering and advanced technologies, it is our mission to help farmers around the world to earn carbon credits, to improve their farming techniques and many more unleashed potentials lying in tech for good. To do this, we will build a platform with a sustainable and robust solution architecture that is able to interact with both Rabobank systems as well as third parties whilst at the same time seamlessly interacts with our business architecture.

We are looking for a skilled, experienced and driven solution architect to join and strengthen our architecture team.

Making a difference

As Solution Architect you are the driving force behind linking and aligning our business architectures with the technical architecture.

• You are an experienced all-round Solution Architect
• With an innovative mindset, you are comfortable in balancing long-term visions with a pragmatic approach to enable innovations
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and are used to work in a dynamic team and able to challenge the team when needed to ensure continuous improvement of the solutions
• You create multiple design views to tackle functional or non-functional requirements from different stakeholders
• You are an advisor for the product owner, to help with finding the right balance between quickly delivering new features and long-term maintainability
• You provide architectural guidance to the development teams, sharing best practices, design patterns, etc.
• You inform various stakeholders about the impact or issues of certain technical choices, create and propose a plan to tackle them
• You are responsible to define the measurements that ensure the required availability, confidentiality and integrity of the platform
• You are responsible to take the lead in making the right infra choices, to achieve the desired response times and security. The Rabobank cloud architecture is guiding
• You actively assist teams in bringing innovation solutions into its mature state
• You have extensive Azure knowledge to perform technical reviews regarding solution designs
• You have deep knowledge on continuous integration and continuous delivery. Your mantra is standardization and automation

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. The Wholesale and Rural (W&R) Innovations team is part of the sustainability banking activities of Rabobank. W&R offers a challenging, young, dynamic and international working environment.

The mission of this department ties back to the roots of the Rabobank: to increase self-sustainability in the global food and agriculture chain. But this time using data, technology and innovative thinking. By sourcing, combining, and making data accessible we aim to create a healthier and more transparent food ecosystem.

As part of Wholesale & Rural Innovation department, you will be a member of the Product Development team, a team of skilled and experienced people with multiple backgrounds and expertise, who are in-charge of the delivery of the innovation projects.

With your talent

As a successful Solution Architect you have a mixed experience in IT infrastructure, full stack background and DevOps knowledge. At the same time you are of an entrepreneurial nature; result-oriented and a bridge-builder. Hence it is important that you meet the following characteristics:

• 4+ proven experience as Solution Architect
• Experience with security frameworks
• Knowledge and experience with cryptographic and network protocols
• Experience in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies, including Azure DevOp
• Experience with multiple programming and/or scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, PowerShell, etc.)
• Experience in designing and implementing data-driven applications
• Familiarity with Geospatial and/or DLT/blockchain solutions
• Experience with Metadata & Consent management; integral part of the platform
• Familiar with Rabobank’s Security guidelines is a pre; Access, Controls, Procedures
• Experience with methodologies such as TOGAF and ArchiMate
• Entrepreneurial and can do mentality
• A collaborator and a team player
• Agile in way of working and thinking
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both verbally and in writing
