Patient Solution Lead Epilepsy

We are looking for a Patient Engagement Manager Epilepsy for the Netherlands who has a passion for creating impact for patients, to come and join our fantastic ABN (Alps, Benelux & Nordics) Epilepsy Team - to be based in the Netherlands.

About the role

In this new role you are responsible for defining the market and identifying and supporting patients for the Therapeutic Area (TA) where you are responsible for in the Netherlands. Therefore you will work closely and create strong connections with patients, caregivers, health care professionals and other stakeholders to understand the challenges of patients living with severe epilepsy. You will develop valuable solutions that aim to improve the lives of these patients and their caregivers. You will lead and execute on these solutions and ensure they are aligned with UCBs strategic direction

Who you will work with:

In this position, you will have close collaboration with all stakeholders, both internal and external, with a special focus on the commercial team, the medical team, the access lead and the head of epilepsy of the BeNeLux.

• Internal stakeholders: e.g. market access, marketing team, MSL’s, Field force (Health Care Provider Partners), external engagement and Compliance & regulatory partners. Furthermore you will be part of several European commercial, patient engagement and medical networks.
• External stakeholders; e.g.. Patients / Patient Associations / Advocacy Group representatives, KOLs, individual HCPs, HCP and nurse networks and other stakeholder groups

You will report to the Head of Epilepsy of the BeNeLux.

What you will do:

• You will identify, develop and implement local patient initiatives based on insights obtained, including but not limited to Awareness campaigns, Develop patient information materials (utilizing different on- and offline channels) , Create and review content for patient information materials , Drive projects aimed to improve the lives of patients, Drive local events and Hold ad boards to identify insights
• Stakeholder engagement: establish and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, to understand their needs, address concerns and identify opportunities
• Partner with patient associations to gather insights and identify common strategic pillars
• Partner with external networks (nurse specialists, HCPs and more to be defined) to gather insights and identify patient initiatives
• Ensure initiatives, tactics and activities planned in the local Brand Plan are in line with patients’ needs
• And you act as a point of contact for patient organizations and patient advocates and be the internal connector for patient org initiatives

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

• Several years of work experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or life sciences is needed for the role
• Working with emphatic mindset and you are passionate to improve the lives of patients
• In this role you have a lot of autonomy and you like to work closely with a team, having a positive and flexible mindset
• You have a proactive work ethos and when needed challenge the status-quo
• With your organizational talents you are structured, prioritize well, and communicate clearly. Experience in leading larger projects is a nice to have
• Bringing different parties together, finding and achieving a common goal gives you energy and motivation
• Languages: Dutch and English (written and verbally mandatory)
