PRODUCT MANAGER (M/F/D)

ING is looking for a Product Area Lead within the Global Data Platform Tribe, responsible for the development, rollout, and continuous enhancement of our Global Data Platform. This senior leader will play a key role in INGs journey to become data-enabled and our transformation towards our global data and analytics platform.

The Team

The Product Area Lead role is pivotal in our Global Data Platform Tribe. The Product Area Lead is part of the Tribe MT and will collaborate with all domains/countries of ING. You will functionally steer product owners and product teams across different ING entities, driving both vision development and roadmap delivery. You will collaborate globally in managing our global roadmap and backlog.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Data Foundation and Support Product Area are at the heart of our Global Data ecosystem. The foundation and support services will be a catalyst for our innovation and paradigm shift in how data is managed in ING in a globally networked model.

As a Product Area Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Understanding the requirements of key stakeholders and customers, translating them into our platform strategy, particularly regarding our public cloud journey across data and analytics.
• Understanding relevant market trends and developments (horizons 1-3) and translating them into vision, strategy, and roadmap for our next-gen data and analytics platform.
• Building strong relationships with all stakeholders within ING, as well as external stakeholders, vendors, and other relevant outside parties.
• Co-developing and updating our Global Data Platform vision and strategy with ING Domains/Countries, with business IT and CDO teams. You will translate this strategy into a global backlog.
• Steering the delivery and ensuring we deliver on our promises. You will actively manage dependencies, resolve impediments, and keep track of our velocity.

• A track record of entrepreneurship in developing strategies and rolling out services within complex stakeholder environments.
• Deep experience and knowledge in Data Management, Analytics, and Data Platforms.
• A strong background in IT is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to translate complex solutions into clear benefits and requirements.
• Strong resilience and the ability to navigate through ambiguity.
